In my deepest
dark
You can't see me
look away
This is where I
hide
just me
and my dreams
toss and turn
through
the replay
down here
I'm not okay
I promise
In my deepest
dark
You can't hear me
silence
embracing me like an old
friend
grasping at anything to climb out
eventually
As for now,
I'm down in my deepest
dark
hiding
just me and my dreams.
Sometimes, we run for solace in our 'deepest dark' corners but it eventually becomes overwhelming. Ben there and what helped me most is accepting myself and coming out.

ReplyDeleteYou are not alone in those moments. But you alone only can make your climb out of the black tunnel. Hold on to the light and rush forward.

ReplyDeleteHonestly, we all are in the same place only.
I really enjoyed this poem. To me I interpreted it as you don't want someone to see your thoughts or emotions as you think about things that you don't want anyone to know (or maybe even overthinking [which I do a lot myself]), but at the same time you do want to be able to get out of your head sometimes... even though it's a struggle.
ReplyDeleteAccurate interpretation <3
