I fall a little out of
love
with the world
more and more
each day
The noise
pollution
static
it gets in the way
it's right there
below us
seething and turning
while we
pretend
it's not happening
There is no change
you say
While she screams
and moans
beneath you
The agony
of
the host
being murdered slowly by these
parasites
the muted hum
has become an alarm
But convenience
outweighs the
life of
mother
I fall a little out of
love
with the world
every day
I have to
It will make it
easier
to watch
it go
away.
I freaking love this. I have been saying for years that humans are a parasite on the planet.
ReplyDeleteThis is so powerful. I wish we as a human race would make the decision to do things that help the planet instead of kill it.
ReplyDeleteThis really touches me. Humans are a blight on the earth, but we don't have to be. What gets me is that it seems like the human race just chooses to abuse the planet.

ReplyDeleteSuch a powerful message. It makes me so sad to think of what we've done to our planet - our only home. I just hope it's not too late.
